MN National Guard Welcome Home Ceremony

Feb. 12, 2008, (ROSEVILLE, Minnesota) – Community, friends and family of the 147th Personnel Services Battalion will gather for a Welcome Home Ceremony following the unit’s return from over 12 months of active duty deployment in support of Operation Enduring Freedom

32 Soldiers from the Roseville based 147th Personnel Services Battalion managed Joint Personnel Reception Centers, Soldier Support Centers and Army Post Offices in Afghanistan and provided Human Resource support to 14 Forward Operating Bases in the countries of Afghanistan, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan and Qatar Such personnel service support missions included: the responsibility to provide briefings to service members arriving to and departing from operational areas, the maintaining of their records, the production of identification cards, the updating Soldier’s family information, the tracking of all incoming and outgoing Soldiers and civilians in operational areas
